COPC – Comprehensive Operations Planning Course is a course that reflects the requirements of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic as well as NATO, for education of officers destined to perform tasks in NATO structures and international operational headquarters and staff. As NATO approved course, it meets all required quality standards according to Bi-SC 075-07.
This year, from April 13th till 24th, 2026, instructors from International Courses Department, together with subject matter experts (SMEs) from the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic, as well as SMEs from War Studies University in Poland and National Defence University in Romania, devoted themselves to comprehensive operations planning at the operational level, in context of the military-strategic planning procedures.
The course was attended by 30 officers, including 1 from Sweden, 4 from Poland, 1 from the Czech Republic, 2 from Armenia and 22 from Slovakia. The key person on the course was the Rector of the Armed Forces Academy of general Milan Rastislav Stefanik, who acted as a mentor in the position of Commander of the Joint Force Command, and at the same time personally handed over the certificates to the graduates. The course was successfully completed by 29 participants.
