He was born in 1972 in Revúca. He began his university studies in 1991 at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Construction of the Military Academy in Brno, field of study radio reconnaissance. In 1993, he continued his studies at the Military Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš, specializing in communication systems - special radio systems, which he successfully completed in 1996. He completed his doctoral studies in electrical engineering by defending his final dissertation thesis in 2003. As part of his lifelong education, he completed the General Military English Course at the NATO Language Training Center in Budapest (2001), the Joint Staff Officer Course (2004), the NATO Officers Course at the NATO School in Oberammergau (2006) and the General Staff Course at the University of Defense in Brno (2019-2020).
Since 1991, when he began his career as a professional soldier, he has passed through the lowest ranks of private, corporal, sergeant, and staff sergeant. In 1996 he was appointed to the first officer rank of lieutenant and and in 2024 he was appointed to the first general rank of Brigadier General by the President of the Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová. In the years 1996-2004, he was an assistant and assistant professor at the Military Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš and worked at the Department of Theoretical Electrical Engineering and Radio Reconnaissance. In the period 1999-2000, he was a member of the research team of the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic for the research tasks: "Sensors and Sensor Systems for Measuring Physical Quantities" and "Source and Channel Coding of Signals". Since 2004, he has worked as an instructor at the Training and Instruction Center of the National Defense Academy of Marshal Andrej Hadik in Liptovský Mikuláš. In the years 2004-2008, he was the group leader of the Entrance Specialization Officer´s Course of the National Defense Academy of Marshal Andrej Hadik in Liptovský Mikuláš. In 2006, as a member of the author's collective, he participated in the preparation of the feasibility study "Possibilities of Equipping Units of Electronic Warfare and Electronic Survey of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic". In the period 2007-2008 he was a member of the research team of the AGA project for the research task: "Sensor systems in the fight against terrorism". In 2008, he was appointed to the position of Head of the Radio Systems Department of the Mobile Communication and Information Systems Base in Ružomberok and at the same time served as a member of the commission for military tests of the Slovak Armed Forces communication and information system MOKYS. In the years 2008-2010, he worked as Head of the 3rd Center in the Base of Mobile Communication and Information Systems. In 2010, he was appointed to the position of deputy commander of the Mobile Communication and Information Systems Base. From 2011 to 2012, he was sent to the EUFOR Headquarters in Sarajevo to the ALTHEA operation Bosnia and Herzegovina as a leading senior officer - specialist, and then in 2012 he served as Head of the JVB department of the EUFOR headquarters. In 2016, he became the Director of the Simulation Center of the Armed Forces Academy of Gen. M.R. Štefánik in Liptovský Mikuláš, which is an institution for providing computer-supported exercises and training for the simulation of crisis situations in the field of security and crisis management. In 2019, he was appointed by the Minister of Defense of Slovak Republic to the position of Vice-Rector for Education of Armed Forces Academy of Gen. M.R. Štefánik, in 2023, President Zuzana Čaputová appointed him to the position of rector of the Armed Forces Academy of gen. M.R. Štefánik.
In his teaching and research activity, he participates in research, development, and processing of studies in the areas of electronics, military intelligence and electronic warfare, sensors and digital signal processing, simulation technologies and communication and information systems.
He participated in the research teams of several national and international projects in areas of professional interest. He published the results of research and development in the proceedings of international and national scientific conferences on the topics of sensors, signal processing and magnetic field sensing. Lectured at conferences in the field of mobile deployable communication systems, in the field of modeling and simulation technologies, carried out pedagogical activities in the field of the theory of electric circuits, signals and systems, as well as digital processing and analysis of signals.

Vice – Rector for Quality Management and Development
He was born in 1971 in Spišská Nová Ves. After finishing high school in Spišská Nová Ves (1986 – 1990), he began his engineering studies at the Military Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš, which he successfully completed in 1995.
He gained practical experience by holding positions at the Military Air Defense Training Base in Poprad, ensuring the educational process of non-commissioned officers of the armed forces in technical skills. He completed specialized training focused on military training and comprehensive training for non-commissioned officers and warrant officers organized by the British Military Advisory Training Team (2000). In 2001-2002, he worked in the organizational structure of the UNFICYP mission in Cyprus. After his return, he worked in the Department for Planning and Management of Operations of the Ground Forces Command of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic in Trenčín. He passed on the acquired experience and knowledge in the field of communication and information systems while working at the Career Development Center of the Andrej Hadik National Defense Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš, providing career training for the officers of the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic, and later as an instructor at International Staff Officer's Course (ISOC).
By completing additional pedagogical studies (2005), he expanded his pedagogical education. In 2011, he successfully completed his doctoral studies at the University of Žilina in Žilina. He used his technical skills and experience in planning and managing national and international crisis management operations in the preparation and implementation of Computer Assisted Exercise - CAX. Since 2008, he was solving research and development tasks in the field of modeling and simulations of crisis situations as a co-researcher or responsible researcher of national and international projects. Since 2011, he served as the Director of the Simulation Center of the Armed Forces Academy of General Milan Rastislav Štefánik (AFA) in Liptovský Mikuláš. He ended his service as a professional soldier in 2016 and started working as a university teacher. He successfully completed the habilitation procedure in the field of national and international security in 2020. In 2020, he was appointed by the Minister of Defense of the Slovak Republic to the position of Vice-rector for Science, then in 2021 to the position of Vice-rector for Quality and Development of AFA.
He actively participates at the national and international exercises at home and abroad aimed at solving crisis management tasks, publishes professional articles and conference papers dealing with the possibilities of modeling, simulations and the use of CAX. He is an author or co-author of scientific publications.
Born in 1982 in Dolný Kubín. Graduated from the Faculty of Land Forces of the Armed Forces Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš, specialisation: Military Systems Management - Military Engineering (2005). Doctoral degree from the Armed Forces Academy in Liptovský Mikuláš, specialising in Security and Defence of the State in the field of Defence and Military (2021).
From 2005 to 2016 he served in the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic in command and staff positions as a platoon commander, staff officer, group chief and company commander. From 2016 to 2018 he served as a leading senior officer at the International Staff Officer Course (ISOC) and from 2019 to 2020 as a lecturer at the International Course Department of the Professional Military Education Centre of the Armed Forces Academy. From 2020 he was an assistant and from 2022 he is an assistant professor at the Department of Military Tactics and Operational Art of the Armed Forces Academy. He has served in several national and international crisis management operations under NATO and EU command.
From 2020 - 2024 he was appointed to the position of the Head of the Academic Senate of the Armed Forces Academy. From 2024 he was appointed as a Vice – Rector for Military Affairs. He is a member of the Presidium of the Council of Higher Education of the Slovak Republic, a member of the Quality Assurance Board of the Armed Forces Academy, and a member of the Editorial Board of the journal "Military Reflections".
His academic research focuses on combat and operational employment of land forces, military engineering, security sector reform, hybrid warfare and operational art. NATO DEEP expert in tactical and operational planning for Ukraine and in officer education enhancement for Ukraine, Iraq, and Georgia. Leading researcher of the MoD project focusing on military mobility and researcher of the MoD projects focusing on fire support, researcher of the European Union international project "Interdisciplinary Education and Training on Hybrid Warfare".
He focuses his teaching activities on the field of military engineering, operational and tactical planning, and explosive ordnance disposal. He works as a thesis supervisor in the first and second stage of university studies at the Armed Forces Academy and as a thesis opponent and consultant at foreign universities (Czech Republic, Romania, Portugal). He is also involved in the education and training of students as a consultant of student scientific and professional theses at student scientific conferences. He has participated in ERASMUS+ mobilities at the National Defence University "Carol I" Bucharest, University of Defence Brno, and War Studies University Warsaw.
