Regionálna sieťová akadémia
Regionálna akadémia programu NetAcad pri AOS v Liptovskom
Mikuláši spolu s lokálnou akadémiou začala svoje účinkovanie v novembri 2000,
pričom jej činnosť odborne i personálne pokrývajú zamestnanci Katedry
informatiky. Regionálna akadémia je oprávnená školiť inštruktorov programu
NetAcad v programoch CCNA Exploration (príp. CCNA Discovery), lokálna akadémia
poskytuje kurzy v programoch CCNA Exploration a CCNA Security.
Akadémia je špecifická tým, že v programe NetAcad pripravuje
kadetov s vojenským zameraním a vojenských profesionálov ako súčasť ich ďalšieho
odborného rastu, pričom obe kategórie sú priamo umiestňované v rezorte
Ozbrojených síl SR.
Výučba v rámci programu NetAcad je poskytovaná v nasledujúcich
formách vzdelávania:
- Štandardné bakalárske štúdium. V tomto prípade je
kurikulum CCNA Exploration čiastočne integrované do predmetov Siete a služby
a Projektovanie a budovanie počítačových sietí študijného programu
Počítačové systémy, siete a služby.
- Vstupný odborný dôstojnícky kurz pre vojenské
odbornosti zamerané na informačné a komunikačné technológie. V tomto prípade
sú 4 (prípadne 2) semestre CCNA Exploration integrálnou súčasťou zmieneného
kurzu.
- Celoživotné vzdelávanie. V tomto prípade akadémia
organizuje kurzy CCNA Exploration a CCNA Security pre špecialistov z
jednotiek Ozbrojených síl SR, Ministerstva obrany SR a Národného
bezpečnostného úradu. Výučba každého semestra je organizovaná formou dvoch
(v prípade CCNA Security troch) týždenných sústredení.

Regional /Local Networking Academy at the Armed Forces Academy of
General Milan Rastislav Štefánik (former Military Academy) was established in
November 2000 and its activities are personally and professionally covered by
the employees of the Department of Informatics. The main specific of the Academy
is the fact that the Networking Academy Program is preparing both cadets with
military orientation of their future professional career and active military
professionals as part of their professional growth. Both categories are directly
deployed within the Armed Forces of the Slovak Republic.
In the AFA
the Curricula are integrated within three forms of education:

Standard BSc. study.
In this case the CCNA Exploration curriculum is partially integrated into
compulsory subjects Networks and Services (4th semester) and
Building and Maintaining Computer Networks I, II (5th and 6th
semester) of the studying program Computer Systems, Networks and Services.

Specialized Entry
Officers’ Course for ICT military specializations. In this case all four
semesters of CCNA Exploration are fully integrated into this five-month
full-time course.

Lifelong education within the career system of
education. In this case both CCNA Exploration and CCNA Security courses are
organized for ICT specialists from the units of the Armed Forces, the
Ministry of Defense, and the National Security Authority. The education of
each of the CCNA Exploration semesters is organized into two (three in the
case of CCNA Security) week`s workshops, where the participants attend
lectures, practical labs and final on-line and skills-based assessments. In
the meantime they can practise self-study of the curricula, chapter on-line
assessments and utilize simulation tools (Packet Tracer).
